Principals

RGD_PrincipalsMeet the Principals of RGD Acoustics, Inc., Alan, Harold and Tim.  These three individuals possess unique and diverse expertise as audiovisual and acoustical consultants. When combined, this makes for a well rounded team that can handle just about any acoustical or audiovisual challenge that comes their way.

Areas of expertise for the three Principals of RGD include the fields of Architectural Acoustics, Audiovisual and Sound Systems, Mechanical Noise & Vibration, and Environmental Noise.

Alan Rosen has over 31 years of experience as an acoustical consultant. His degree is in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. Alan has gained expertise in the field of environmental noise and building acoustics. Alan is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE) and has been a guest lecturer at California State University, Sonoma.

Harold Goldberg, P.E. has over 30 years of experience as an acoustical consultant. His degree is in mechanical engineering from University of California, Berkeley. Harold has expertise in environmental noise and building acoustics with particular focus on roadway and rail noise and vibration. Harold is a licensed mechanical engineer in the State of California and a Board Certified member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering.

Timothy Der has over 28 years of experience as an acoustical consultant. His degree is in mechanical engineering from University of California, Berkeley. Timothy’s primary areas of expertise are architectural acoustics and mechanical noise and vibration control. He also has extensive experience in addressing acoustical issues for educational facilities, multifamily and mixed-use housing, laboratories, healthcare facilities, and sound.
